Patricia Hendricks Shihan 7 dan
Patricia Hendricks Shihan started aikido in 1973 with the late Stan Pranin in Monterey, California. She then moved up to the Bay Area to attend UC Berkeley and was training at the Oakland dojo. In 1976/77 she went to Iwama, Japan and stayed as uchi deshi for 1.5 years training with Morihiro Saito Sensei. She spent another 1.5 years as uchi deshi in 1987 as well. Over 26 years she would go back and forth to Iwama numerous times and hosting Saito Sensei in her dojo many times. She currently teaches aikido in her dojo in San Leandro, California, and is invited world wide to teach seminars.
Hendricks Shihan is the head of division 1 in California Aikido Association (CAA) and a US representative in IAF.
