Hoa Newens Sensei has trained and taught Aikido since 1967 and is ranked black belt 7th degree by World Headquarters. He was appointed Shihan (master instructor) in January 2020 by the Doshu. Throughout the years, he studied with Sensei Dang Thong Phong, 6th dan, Seiichi Sugano, 8th dan, and the late Morihiro Saito, 9th dan.

Lewis Bernaldo de Quiros Sensei trained under the late Morihiro Saito Sensei from 1986 until 1993 in the Iwama Dojo in Japan. After returning from Japan he maintained regular contact with his teacher through seminars both as a participant as well as assistant and translator. He received the rank of 5th dan Aikikai from Morihiro Saito Sensei in 1999 and 7th Dan Aikikai from Hombu Dojo Tokyo in 2024.

Hoa Sensei and Lewis Sensei are well known for their inspiring and dynamic teaching. We are very happy to welcome them in Lund!
